Update on the Wheelers: Collin is going through midterms at BYU, which means... he's halfway through his last semester!! :) His classes have been hard and busy, but he's pulling through and working hard like a champ! We will both be glad when he is done with school. He is still looking for jobs in his IT major. My full time job at Sunrise Preschool is going great! I enjoy working with the 3-year-old class and the kindergarteners on Fridays. I also still work as a nanny part time. I recently got released from my calling as the relief society 1st counselor in my ward. Everyone in the presidency got released, so now we have a new presidency. The girls are wonderful and I know they will do well in leading our relief society. I just got a calling to be the ward historian/photographer. I love photography, so I know that this is something I will enjoy. It has been such a privilege to serve with these amazing women in the relief society presidency. Words really can't describe how much they mean to me.
Our former relief society president (far right) made delicious crepes for breakfast one morning. We love her!!! :)
About a few weeks ago, we went to Divine Comedy on the BYU campus. Collin entered a sketch contest back in January. He got an email back saying that he was in the top 3!!! He received free tickets to a Divine Comedy show. There, they would announce the winner of the sketch contest. I never really watched their sketches very often, but I enjoyed every minute of the show. They come up with hilarious performances. At one point, they took a break to announce the winner of the sketch contest. What we were about to hear was completely unexpected.. They didn't announce Collin as the third place winner, so we waited to hear who the second place winner was... they didn't call his name, which means... he won first place!!! When they called his name, we were both in complete awe and excitement! I was so excited that I was the only one the stood up in the audience. I couldn't help myself. :) He received a prize of one thousand dollars! I was one proud wife that night. I always knew that my husband was a smart and funny man. I guess it all pays off in the end. :) Divine Comedy will perform his sketch this week. We can't wait to see it! I will have to tell more details about it in my next blog.
The picture taken shortly after we found out Collin won first place. You can see the excitement on his face. :)
Birthday Selfie.. hehe ;)
Birthday Selfie.. hehe ;)
My birthday is the day before Valentine's Day, so you can imagine that Collin really spoiled me this year. The crazy thing is that his dad and grandpa have the same birthday as me, so I guess you could say, it was meant to be. :)
On my birthday, I worked with the kindergarteners for a few hours. Collin was a doll and went to the grocery store to get food. He came home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. About two and half weeks later, they are still up today!! It's amazing! I have never seen flowers last this long. I love how they look on our dining room table. :)
He surprised me later by taking me to this Italian restaurant called La Dolce Vita, which is located close to us in Provo. Neither of us had been there, so we thought we'd give it a whirl. The food was delicious! I ordered what I think is the best spinach ravioli around. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I opened a variety of gifts that I received from family. They were all so sweet for thinking of me on birthday. I got an itunes gift card, The Lego Movie, The Little Mermaid, a shoe holder (I really needed that), Bastille CD, and monetary gifts. We decided to watch The Little Mermaid to end the day. I have forgotten how much I love that movie. It was one of my favorite childhood movies. My in-laws gave me the cutest card, so I thought I would share it. :)
It's a sushi card. They knew how much I loved sushi, so this card was perfect. :)
Love was officially in the air when Valentine's Day came around. Collin went to campus and came back with a special surprise... A Ticket to Ride game!! I had absolutely no idea! I was so excited that I screamed. It was a game I have wanted for a long time. He said it was a birthday/valentine's gift to me. He is so good at surprises. I always thought I married a good catch. :) I gave him a new shirt and a valentine's mug with a stuffed animal inside. Here are pictures.

Proof that Collin gave me Ticket to Ride. :)
We went up to take a trip to Temple Square. We were going to go inside the Salt Lake Temple, but it ended being closed that day. So we decided to think of a plan B and just go on tours around the places at Temple Square. We got to see Brigham Young's house (The Beehive), the roof of the Conference Center, and the Conference Center auditorium (when it's empty). It was all so neat to look at. I felt the spirit the whole time we were up there. It was a great feeling.
We went to our favorite sushi restaurant called Sushi Ya and ordered all-you-can-eat sushi. My sushi craving was once again satisfied. We watched the Lego Movie and played our first game of Ticket to Ride. It was another great Valentine's Day with my love.
Our Valentine's Day Card. :)

Speaking of temples, we got the opportunity to go inside the Provo temple. We did initiatories, which is something that neither of us have done for a while. I just love the temple. Life can get so hectic sometimes that it can be easy to draw away from the spirit. If we are always prompted to go to the temple, we feel instantly at peace. I love knowing that we truly have a Heaven on Earth when entering the temple. The Provo Temple is so beautiful, especially when it's lit up at night.
On the very last day of February, we decided to play with a puppy. We got her from Puppies for Rent. We rented a puppy from them last year, so it's a really good company. It's a place where you can pay to spend time with puppies and help them towards adoption. I think it's really cool to see the different personalities of different breeds. We got a puppy that was half heeler and half border collie. Her name is Bubbles. She was very mellow, while at the same time, playful. She was also a smart dog. She knew how to get to things quickly. We enjoyed spending a couple of hours with Bubbles. She was such a sweetie. We had some memorable times in the month of February. I leave you now with pictures of a very cute puppy. :)
I got so many puppy kisses from sweet Bubbles.
Beautiful Puppy
