Summer Bummer? No Way!

Well... it's summer vacation! :) it's definitely been a relaxing one for me. However, sitting around the apartment all day is NOT an option. I have been working as a substitute teacher at the summer program at Sunrise Preschool. They call it ESY. It has been really neat to work with different age groups. I've even been working with adolescent students that are disabled. I work occasionally there, but when I am not working, I find things to do with my time, such as reading, writing, taking photos, exercising, babysitting, hanging out with family and friends, and getting a nice tan by the pool. :)

I got to have a girl's night with Mikaela, who is marrying Collin's brother in August! A lot of people have already told us we look alike. :) We saw Divergent, it was such a fun night! :)

On June 8th-14th, our ward participated in doing a service week. This was a great opportunity for Collin and I to really contribute to the church and to help members in our ward. On Monday the 9th, we got to help a family move their stuff from the Uhaul to a storage unit. Tuesday, I went to help clean the church. Thursday was Ward Temple Day, so we were so fortunate to go to the temple and feel the spirit so strong. On Saturday, the last day of service week, I was fortunate enough to attend a relief society fireside to hear an amazing speaker talk about service. I love doing service for others. It makes you feel so good afterwards to know that you can touch other lives in so many ways!

On another higher note, Collin just finished classes last week! To top it off, he got good grades last semester!! It makes me such a proud wife to know that Collin cares about working hard in school and has accomplished so much. I know he will work at an amazing job someday. He is now working full time at OIT this summer and will start school at BYU again in the fall. ONE MORE YEAR!! :)

Today happens to be our 11 month anniversary since we have been married!! We are coming closer to our one year anniversary! I couldn't be more excited to know that we have accomplished so much as a couple in our first year. More details to come about our anniversary in the future. :)
