Welcoming a New Friend

Spring is here! Everything is in blossom and Texas is as beautiful as ever during the springtime. You see a lot of blue bonnets in the fields which gets me excited about taking photographs. :) I also got excited about making more crafts for this season. I upgraded my centerpiece in our apartment and flower arrangement for our porch. All thanks to Hobby Lobby, I was able to put it all together.

 Spring Bouquet.

Bluebonnets!!!! The Texas state flower. A lot of them grow around this time of year.

Me and some bluebonnets. This was during General Conference weekend.

Along with spring time come the babies. :) Back in February, I hosted a baby shower my good friend Velvet in our ward. She was having a baby boy! We were all so excited to welcome him into our ward family. For the baby shower, I made the invites (or evites) for the guests and games. For games, there was pin the pacifier on the baby, bingo, guess how many m&m's are in the baby bottle, and a calendar where guests get to guess when the baby will be born. My friend Hailey also helped in hosting. She also did the decorating and food. I will tell you this, she is a very talented decorator. :) Everything looked so great with the colors blue and green and the food arrangements. Overall, the baby shower was successful. It was a good turn out and everyone looked like they had a great time, especially the mom-to-be. I'd say about 3 out of the 4 games I created turned out good. :) However, it was just important to me that everyone felt welcome and was having fun.

She wanted to be in the picture too. ;)

The decorations Hailey made.

The picture/gift I made for Velvet.

Guessing how many M&M's are in the baby bottle.

Katy and I. She's awesome! :)

Shortly after Velvet opened my gift.

Excited for the beautiful Mom-to-be! :)

Her husband Brandon stopped by, along with her in-laws from Kansas City! What a cute picture. :)

Right before we were about to leave for our trip to California, Velvet sent out a text saying that she was having the baby!! We were so thrilled! On the Saturday before Easter, we got another text from her saying that the baby was born early that morning. They named him Michael Steven. He is just the cutest baby!! Recently, I got to meet him in person. He is so tiny, and a very sweet, calm baby. I enjoyed holding him in my arms. I did not want to let go. I know that Velvet and Brandon are going to be such amazing parents.

Caught a little smile from baby Michael. :)

Eyes open!

He's so cuddly.

So in awe of this sweet baby.
